Field Service Operations · Warehouse as a Service
Warehouse as a Service — a secure IT parts depot, wherever your business operates
A country-based forward stocking location for IT hardware and spare parts, run end-to-end by Brocent's Field Service Operation (FSO) team — inbound receipt, barcoded storage, kitting and staging, outbound shipment, RMA coordination, and certified disposal. No dedicated facility to lease, no warehouse staff to hire, and no minimum contract commitment.

The physical warehouse. FINOS is the system that runs it.
Warehouse as a Service is the physical facility, labour, and logistics. Every stock movement inside it — inbound receipts, stock-out tickets, transfers, and reconciliation — is recorded in FINOS Warehouse & Stock Manager, the platform module included free with Brocent Managed IT.

Full lifecycle parts management, not just shelf space
WaaS covers the complete parts lifecycle — inbound shipment, inventory, packing, outbound shipment, and disposal — all managed securely by the Brocent FSO team under a documented SLA.
IT Spare Parts Relocation
Pickup and relocation of spare parts and devices between offices, data centres, and warehouses — coordinated end-to-end by the FSO team.
Stock-In (Inbound) Management
Every inbound delivery is visually inspected, tallied against shipping documents, and booked into the warehouse management system within 24 hours of receipt.
Stock-Out (Outbound) Management
Parts are picked within 30 minutes of a service request and booked out with photo evidence, courier tracking, and the requesting ticket ID.
Inter-Warehouse Transfer
Parts can be transferred between Brocent warehouses across countries, tracked end-to-end with courier information and a “Transferred” status update.
Parts Identification & Labelling
Every asset receives a unique Asset ID and waterproof barcode label, matched to a location label on the rack, shelf, and partition for fast retrieval.
Installation & Staging Service
Pre-delivery imaging, configuration, and system staging inside the warehouse — including Microsoft Autopilot and USB-based image deployment — before the device ever reaches site.
Parts Disposal Services
Certified disk wipe (e.g. Blancco), physical destruction, and disposal coordination for retired or defective assets, with photo and reporting evidence.
Warehouse Reporting
Monthly reporting on inventory position, movements, and warehouse storage volume — with photo evidence attached to every inbound and outbound event.
On-Demand Packing
Purpose-built shipping boxes with foam and bubble-wrap protection, sized to laptops, desktops, and monitors, prepared on request.
Bring-n-Go Service (5×16 or 7×24)
Client and engineers can pick up or drop off parts on a scheduled or ad hoc basis, on a 5×16 or 7×24 service window depending on the contract.

Who uses WaaS
Built for anyone who needs IT parts staged close to the point of use
From telecom rollouts to third-party hardware maintenance contracts, WaaS gives you a local depot without the overhead of running one yourself.
Telecom CPE & SD-WAN rollouts
Stage CPE and SD-WAN appliances ahead of scheduled installs, with kitting and inventory handled at the warehouse before dispatch to site.
Global 3rd-party hardware maintenance
A local forward stocking location so field engineers can bring the right part to a break-fix visit without waiting on cross-border shipment.
Retail store parts alignment
Central storage and distribution of POS hardware, networking, and CCTV parts across a multi-site retail footprint.
IT & IoT hardware manufacturers
Regional staging and kitting for devices heading to data centres, offices, or retail sites, with visual inspection at every inbound step.
Logistics firms managing client IT devices
Overflow or dedicated 3PS warehouse space for partners who need secure, audited storage without expanding their own footprint.
How it works
From inbound receipt to outbound delivery — every step is logged
Three teams share responsibility for every transaction: the Client, the Brocent WAAS/GSD service desk, and the Brocent Field Service (FSO) team on the ground.
Notify & log the ticket
Client notifies the schedule (inbound shipment, staging request, or disposal) at least 1 business day in advance. GSD logs the ticket and assigns it to the warehouse team within 1 business hour.
Inbound inspection & WMS record
The warehouse team visually inspects the shipment, tallies it against shipping documents, and records serial numbers, asset tags, and condition into the warehouse management system — booked as available within 24 hours.
Label, shelve & secure
Every asset gets a waterproof barcode Asset ID label, matched to a rack/shelf/partition location label. CCTV runs 24×7 and the space is under single-door lock-and-key access control.
Stage, kit, or hold
Parts are staged and imaged (Microsoft Autopilot or USB-based) ahead of dispatch, kitted for multi-part deployments, or simply held in storage until called for.
Outbound pick & dispatch
Parts are picked within 30 minutes of a service request, photographed, and dispatched by hand-carry or 3PS courier — with the transaction booked out against the requesting ticket.
Reconcile, report & dispose
Monthly inventory reporting and a full physical audit at least once a year keep the warehouse book aligned with the system. End-of-life parts are wiped, disposed of, or returned via RMA.
Standard pallet racking used across Brocent warehouses — each level, bay, and partition carries the barcode location label shown earlier, so any asset can be scanned and located in seconds.
Pricing structure
Storage plans that match how long you actually need the space

FAQ
Common questions before activating a warehouse
Is the storage space dedicated to us, or shared with other clients? +
It's a dedicated space for your organisation. It is not co-mingled with other clients' stock.
What physical security is in place? +
The space is under lock and key with a single door access point, and monitored by CCTV around the clock. Only authorised warehouse personnel have access.
How is inventory tracked? +
Every asset is assigned an Asset ID with a waterproof, laser-printed barcode label matched to its rack, shelf, and partition location — scannable with a standard barcode scanner and recorded in the warehouse management system.
Can Brocent handle moving our parts into the new warehouse? +
Yes — pickup and relocation into the warehouse is quoted based on volume and distance, and initial inventory, asset labelling, and system entry are part of the onboarding process.
How often is inventory validated? +
Inventory is validated once a month as standard, with a complete physical stock audit at least once a year. A full inventory count for up to one cubic metre typically takes 1–2 business hours.
Can you handle scheduled stock-in and stock-out on our behalf? +
Yes. Scheduled pickup of parts per service request, scheduled return of parts to stock after an onsite visit, and scheduled stock-in of new shipments are all standard parts of the service.
What's the minimum commitment? +
There is no minimum contract term for WaaS. You can start with free temporary storage (under 3 days) and step up to short-term, fixed-term, or project-based storage as your needs grow.
