1. Introduction

Brocent's products and services are built on a number of open-source software components. We respect the work of the open-source community and honor the obligations set out by each component's chosen license. This page lists the principal open-source components we rely on, their license types, and how we meet the applicable obligations.

2. Open Source Components We Use

This list reflects our primary runtime dependencies and is not necessarily exhaustive. Specific version numbers are intentionally omitted for operational-security reasons; a more detailed component or version inventory is available on request for a legitimate audit purpose — see Contact Us below.

  • Ant Design (MIT) — frontend component library. Unmodified; original copyright notice retained.
  • Django (BSD-3-Clause) — backend web application framework. Unmodified; original copyright and license notices retained.
  • Flutter (BSD-3-Clause) — cross-platform client UI framework. Unmodified; original copyright and license notices retained.
  • Fleet (MIT) — endpoint inventory and security-compliance audit platform. We run the open-source core edition only, with no paid or enterprise feature modules enabled; original copyright notice retained.
  • MeshCentral (Apache-2.0) — remote device management platform. We have made local functional customizations to this component; Apache-2.0 does not require publishing modified source code, and the original copyright and license notices are retained.
  • MySQL (GPL-2.0) — relational database used for select system-integration workloads. Deployed unmodified and run only as an internal database service, not distributed externally, so the license's source-distribution obligation is not triggered.
  • OpenIM (Apache-2.0) — instant-messaging infrastructure. Deployed unmodified; original copyright and NOTICE content retained.
  • PostgreSQL (PostgreSQL License) — relational database, our primary datastore. Unmodified; original copyright notice retained.
  • Python (PSF-2.0) — backend runtime language. Unmodified.
  • React (MIT) — frontend UI framework. Unmodified; original copyright notice retained.
  • RustDesk (AGPL-3.0-only) — remote-access client and protocol component. We have modified this software and operate it as a network-accessible service; as required by AGPL-3.0, the complete corresponding source code of our modified version is published at github.com/jackzhang2026/rustdesk-dedicated-repo.
  • TypeScript (Apache-2.0) — frontend type system and build tooling. Unmodified; original copyright and NOTICE content retained.

3. License Compliance Statement

For components under permissive licenses (Apache-2.0, BSD-3-Clause, MIT, the PostgreSQL License, PSF-2.0), Brocent retains the original copyright notice and license text, including where a component has been modified and redeployed. For the component licensed under AGPL-3.0 that we have modified and offer to users as a network service (RustDesk), we have published the complete corresponding source code of our modified version as required by the license. For the component licensed under GPL-2.0 that we run only as an internal database service and do not distribute externally (MySQL), that license's source-distribution obligation is not triggered.

The functionality, performance, and security of these components are governed by their respective maintainers and original license terms, and are independent of any commitment Brocent makes regarding its own products and services.
